Erica is a passionate and experienced educator with over two decades of experience supporting students from elementary through high school. She holds a B.A. in English from Washington State University, both single-subject and multiple-subject California teaching credentials, and a certificate in Independent Educational Consulting from UC Berkeley Extension (2026). Throughout her career, Erica has taught a wide range of grade levels, specializing in English, history, and literacy development, while encouraging inclusive, student-centered classrooms where learners feel safe, respected, and motivated to reach their full academic potential.
Erica brings her expertise in curriculum design aligned with California State Standards, as well as experience adapting instruction for diverse learning needs, including during distance learning. She is highly collaborative, working closely with colleagues, students, and families to support both academic growth and social-emotional well-being. In addition to her classroom teaching, Erica has demonstrated strong leadership through her involvement in extracurricular programs, including drama productions, yearbook advising, student clubs, and initiatives such as No Place for Hate. Her well-rounded background and commitment to student success allow her to guide and inspire students at every stage of their educational journey.
