With over 20 years of experience in public education, Angela brings expertise in academic planning, student mentorship, college and transfer pathways. She has served as an English Language Development teacher, department chair, activities director, and IB Coordinator Assistant, giving her a comprehensive understanding of how students learn, grow, and make meaningful decisions about their future.
As someone who grew up locally, Angela understands both the opportunities and challenges students in the community face. Her own educational journey began at community college, followed by earning a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from San Francisco State University. She went on to earn both a Secondary Education Teaching Credential in English and Health and a Master of Public Administration from Notre Dame de Namur University.
In addition to her professional experience, Angela has personally navigated the college process as a parent, guiding her own daughter through each step. This experience deepened her understanding of how important it is for students and families to feel informed, supported, and confident throughout the journey.
Angela is also pursuing her Independent Educational Consultant (IEC) Certification, expected Fall 2026, as part of her ongoing commitment to providing the highest level of guidance and support.
